My First Example of Entrepreneurship

In this picture, my aunt Laurie (center) is shown in the kitchen in the early 1980's. Like me, my aunt is an entrepreneur and she gave me my first example of a successful business owner. She is a seamstress, hair dresser, nanny and she sells hand-made accessories and clothing. Call her a "Jill of all trades," but her work ethic and ability to create have always inspired me. My favorite dish that she makes is Russian Tea.  This is a treat for my family each Christmas - a blend of slowly steeped black tea sweetened and spiced to perfection with pineapple and orange juices, cinnamon and cloves. This was one of the first homemade beverages I learned to make outside of fresh squeezed lemonade and powder-based punches.
